The name "Malm" was chosen because the city center of Stockholm is surrounded by four districts - Norrmalm, Södermalm, Östermalm, and Västermalm, historically referred to as malmar. Additionally, malm means ore connecting the disc to our metal-themed naming tradition and the northern regions of Sweden, known for their vast iron ore fields - the birthplace of our discs.
